And now for something different. I recently picked up a Turkish Mey, thinking it would make a fine voice for a mask. I thought it might guide me to an animal native to Turkey. Instead, it whispered “Tree,” specifically a Turkish Pine. While I would have loved to carve this from wood, since I no longer do that, here it is with a photo on leather, in the clouds with trunk reaching down to the Mey. April 3, 2026.
